Drawing Rhythmical Structures



As with my earlier folding and drawing experiment I am continuing to explore the forms and structural rhythms that arise from this exercise. 





Folding a square sheet of paper into 16 sections on the diagonal creates a tension in the paper when it is pulled out at the diagonal corners. The tension creates a loverly curved form (see below).









The next plan I have is to create a more complex fold in the paper that will hopefully give a more dynamic 3D form.
